AMBA & BGA Global Deans and Directors Conference 2024
12-15 May 2024, Budapest, Hungary
AMBA & BGA has chosen the city of Budapest as the venue for our annual Global Conference for Deans and Directors, which will take place from Sunday 12 to Wednesday 15 May 2024.
The conference is designed to bring together world-leading deans and directors in order to discuss the more prevalent issues in business education strategy, whilst also networking in some of the most iconic venues in our host city.
Conference themes and programme
Over three days, the conference will present, discuss and debate the key issues that will impact business schools. At last year’s event in Seville we explored themes such as:
- Brand new technology, including ChatGPT
- Sustainability and climate change
- Best practice in major markets
- How to foster global connections
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Entrepreneurship in 2024
- How to make hybrid work in a digital world
This year’s programme is now available and includes session information, timings and an outline of the overall structure of the conference.

Our speakers will include some of the world’s leading deans and CEO’s who will present on the issues most prevalent to business school strategy and share insights into some of the most powerful new innovations set to revolutionise management education.

Venue: InterContinental Budapest
Our venue is situated on the Danube Promenade with stunning views over the Danube River and the historic castle district. Delegates can enjoy the comforts associated with a luxury conference and hotel venue but also enjoy the best the capital city has to offer.
Due to high demand, we would encourage delegates to book their stay at the InterContinental Budapest as soon as possible as rooms are now very limited on certain nights of the conference.

As in previous years, the Global Conference will provide attendees with the opportunity to network and engage with other members of our business school community at some of the best venues our host city has to offer. Sunday 12 May 2024 – Networking city tour
On Sunday 12 May, we’ll offer a complimentary tour of Budapest to all conference attendees, allowing you to acclimatise yourselves with this friendly and culturally vibrant city, while having an opportunity to reconnect with contacts old and new. Please see below itinerary for the tour:
- 13:45: Attendees to meet at the Intercontinental Hotel lobby
- 14:00-14:20: Coaches depart from Hotel
- 14:30-16:00/16:30: Boat cruise on the Danube taking in the sights from the river
- 16:30-18:30: City tour including the Castle District and Fisherman’s Bastion
- 18:30-18:45: Coaches back to the Intercontinental Hotel

Monday 13 May 2024 – Dinner venue: The Lázár Equestrian Park
Situated in a picturesque valley among the hills of the Gödöllő natural conservation area, the Lázár Equestrian Park strives to highlight both Hungarian equestrian traditions and hospitality.
Founded in 2001, the park is home to world-champion carriage drivers Vilmos and Zoltán Lázár.

Tuesday 14 May 2024 – Dinner venue: Museum of Fine Arts
The Museum of Fine Arts Budapest is Hungary’s largest and finest art museum.
Located in Heroes’ Square, Budapest, it sits opposite the Palace of Art, and hosts a number of multi-faceted collections coupled with a large number of masterpieces from prehistory to the present.

Corvinus University is Hungary’s most eminent educational institution in the fields of Economic, Management and Social Sciences. Gellért Campus Tour at Corvinus University of Budapest
Corvinus University of Budapest is inviting all attendees of the AMBA & BGA Global Conference to a tour of their Gellért Campus at the end of the conference on Wednesday 15 May. This is an excellent opportunity to get behind the scenes of this newly redeveloped campus, which the University describes as ‘a centre for education, community and innovation’. The developments were planned in conjunction with students and faculty ensuring that their needs were considered and met, but also with sustainability goals in mind. And finally, it offers great views across the City.

- 2:00pm: Bus transfer from the Intercontinental Hotel to the campus
- 2:20pm: Tour begins
- 4:00pm: Bus transfer back to the Intercontinental Hotel
