Develop your project management skills from agreeing the brief to implementing and reviewing the project
This learning path looks at the difference between project management and day-to-day management. Planning a project can often feel like a complex, overwhelming process. This module aims to simplify the task by breaking the project down into six stages. We will look at some techniques to help you both look at the ‘big picture’ and focus in on the details.
Project management is a skill that is increasingly in demand, and is becoming a required skill for a huge range of occupations. A project differs from day-to-day work because it has a limited lifetime, and it requires specific skills to deliver projects on time, to budget and to an agreed standard. This involves carefully determining the objectives, planning, organising and controlling activities and predicting as many problems as possible. This course looks at the concepts and the phases of project management.
It provides experienced planners with an excellent refresher session, and a comprehensive introduction for novices or those looking to develop project management skills.
