Good communication skills are vital in any role. This learning path looks at how you can become more confident and effective in your workplace communication. There is advice on how to express yourself, body language, communicating when under pressure and much more

Questions form part of our everyday lives, but why do we ask them? This course explores the different types of questions and the situations in which they are most effective. We will also look at questions that should be avoided and how to set the scene for effective communication.

Communicating with emotional intelligence is a key skill for managers as it can improve the outcome of interactions with colleagues through the management of emotions. It’s not just about using the right words, it’s about doing the right thing at the right time and knowing why. This course describes the six steps designed to help develop emotional intelligence.


Communicating under pressure is an essential skill for all employees. This course looks at why people avoid difficult conversations, the importance of understanding your own emotional triggers and reveal top tips on how to structure the conversation to ensure its success.


This module explores why diplomacy is important, how to become a diplomat and the key skills involved in effectively communicating with others, including developing your emotional intelligence to help secure a win-win outcome.


Active listening is the key to effective communication. It is important to show the speaker that you are listening to them and one way to do this is to use the S.O.L.E.R technique. We will explore the ways in which you can prepare for effective communication and examine both the verbal and non-verbal signals of active listening.


Public speaking can be a daunting task and is often something that people fear. This course will provide you with advice and guidance on preparing your speech, finding your voice and presenting to others.
