Do you want to deliver a confident presentation? This module will guide you through the different stages of your presentation from preparation and planning through to delivery. We will examine the use of visual aids to draw the attention of your audience and look at the importance of personal appearance and how it can inspire a sense of confidence.
The key to successful presentations lies with effective preparation. This course goes through the basics of preparing presentations, stage by stage. Preparing the subject or content for a presentation is a critical step, and at the end of it you will no longer need to think about what to say, only how to say it. This detailed course looks at developing an outline and detailed structure, selecting key points, developing your ideas, speaking styles, writing a script and reducing the script to notes. This course is a comprehensive lesson for all , even acting as a very useful reminder of the core techniques for the most experienced presenters.
A key skill for any employee, regardless of their position within the organisation, is the ability to present raw data as statistics, graphs or charts and use it to persuade audiences. This module explores the basis concepts of presenting data including calculating percentages, working out averages and effectively using charts and graphs.
This course aims to improve the effectiveness of your presentations by concentrating on the issues of actually presenting and the underlying issues of audience expectations and good preparation.
When presenting you need to consider your voice and body. This detailed course looks at the impact of your body language and use of voice on you and your audience, enabling you to utilise a planned approach the next time you need to present. This course provides good techniques to delivering a presentation, including rehearsal beforehand, various methods of opening your presentation, keeping the audience’s attention, closing the presentation and handling questions.
