Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities in post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA and recent MBA alumni of Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
Accreditation from the Association of MBAs represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University prides itself on being one of the oldest higher education institutions in China, tracing its history to Nanyang College, founded in 1896. It is renowned within China and internationally for its specialisation in Engineering, Medical Science, and Management. The Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University has origins dating back to 1903.
During the accreditation process conducted by AMBA, members of the accreditation panel, representing senior management from globally accredited business schools, commended the strong support provided by the University leadership for the business school. They also recognised the University’s strong brand and reputation, both nationally and internationally.
The panel also remarked on Dean Chen’s strategic vision and focus on industry research, which permeates the entire school. They viewed Dean Chen as a hands-on dean deeply engaged in the life of the school and in outreach activities.
Finally, the panel noted the school’s corporate relations ecosystem and its linkages with industry, citing the Antai Industry Review journal as an example.

Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding business schools to perform at the highest level continually.
