The School of Business and Governance at Tallinn University of Technology has officially received accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA students and recent MBA alumni of The School of Business and Governance at Tallinn University of Technology are invited to join in AMBA’s global member community of more than 62,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.
Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel commended the school for its strong profile nationally and regionally.
The panel also noted the enhanced coaching provided by the MBA programme and the value it adds for participants. The students and alumni that the panel met with were considered to be enthusiastic and impressive.
Finally, the panel noted that the school encourages faculty to refer to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to ethics, responsibility and sustainability within module descriptors, thereby helping to embed these principles.
“Accreditations foster our continuous improvement, and passing the evaluation process proves that we meet demanding international quality criteria. We launched the updated MBA programme in 2020, and it is a pleasure to see ourselves already in the global top league. We take pride in an eager and diverse group of alumni that have completed the programme, having acquired a world-class education,” said Dean Mari Avarmaa, The School of Business and Governance at Tallinn University of Technology. “The Accreditation Committee particularly praised the personal coaching for MBA students, the strong representation of top managers among the teachers, and the successful and enthusiastic Alumni. Many thanks to everyone involved in the accreditation process. We will carry on working together to make our School even better.”
AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding business schools perform at the highest level continually.
Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA) said: “I am extremely happy to welcome The School of Business and Governance at Tallinn University of Technology to the AMBA network – our first accredited school in Estonia and in the Baltic states. This school is one of the leading schools in the region and has a great reputation for being innovative and enterprising – qualities that are very much at the heart of AMBA accreditation and indeed of modern education and leadership in the global business world.”
