Webinar: Teaching emerging in-demand skills in business schools through online learning

During the webinar, AMBA-accredited Business Schools in EMEA will be joined by experts from leading online learning platform Coursera to discuss how the business curriculum has been changing, and how Business Schools are ensuring their students are equipped with the most relevant emerging in-demand skills needed by employers and industries to ‘hit the ground running’.
The webinar will address the opportunities and challenges of having an agile curriculum, that is up to date with the trends of technology; and how universities that are able to clearly articulate, but also deliver on the value proposition of work readiness for graduates will stand out to both prospective students and to the employers hiring them on the other end.
About the speakers
Andy Poole, Director of Partnerships, Coursera
Andy Poole is Partnerships Director for Coursera for Campus, within the EMEA region.
Starting in 2002 as a lecturer in a Russian state university, Andy has close to 20 years of experience across different parts of the education sector. Prior to joining Coursera, Andy was responsible for business development, admissions, and recruitment at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Before that, he led Macmillan Education’s English language teaching content business in Central and Eastern Europe.
Thami Ghorfi, Dean of ESCA Ecole de Management
Thami Ghorfi is Dean of ESCA Ecole de Management, based in Casablanca, Morocco, where he teaches communication strategy and change management.
He was appointed in 2011 as an expert member of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), a constitutional institution of Kingdom of Morocco.
Through his position as Vice President of the AL AMANA foundation – a micro finance organisation in the MENA region – Thami is involved in charity and the fight against financial exclusion.
He is also a member of the board of Development and Solidarity Council (CDS) (a brain trust aiming at harmonising economic development strategies and social cohesion); Sanady Foundation (an NGO which mission is to fight against school failure and school dropouts, serving youth from under-privileged socio-economic conditions); and Amadeus Institute (a think tank focusing on geopolitics and geo-economics dedicated to the countries of the south part of the world).
Thami is a member of the AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee. He also a member of the Academic Leadership Council of Global Business School Network (GBSN). He chaired the AACSB MENA Advisory Council and was an International Academic Member of the EDAF Committee of EFMD.
Leila Triki, Dean, Mediterranean School of Business (MSB), South Mediterranean University (SMU)
Leila Triki is Dean of the Mediterranean School of Business (MSB) in Tunisia, where she is responsible for establishing its medium-to-long-term goals, strategic planning, and academic administrative management.
Leila has more than 10 years of experience in higher education administration, including academic leadership, strategic development and planning, organisational design, change management, as well as programme design and implementation.
Before joining MSB, Leila was a sponsored researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where she taught economics and widened her research expertise. Prior to that appointment, she worked as a Consultant for the World Bank Group in Washington DC within its Financial Sector Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Paris-Sud University, an MSc and a PhD in economic theory from Sorbonne University, France, as well as an EMBA from MSB.
Corinne Peiffert, Director of Studies, Global BBA, ESSEC Business School
Corinne Peiffert is Director of Studies of the ESSEC Global BBA, a programme offered in Paris (Cergy, France), Singapore and Rabat (Morocco).
Corinne has more than 15 years of experience in higher education, where she developed a large range of expertise in both strategic and operational management, such as managing the growth, internationalisation and digitisation of the programme’s curriculum, student body and teams.
Before joining the Global BBA team in Cergy, she was the Associate Director for Academic Affairs at ESSEC Asia Pacific in the initial stage of the Singapore campus, contributing to building the foundations of its programme management operations.
Prior to Singapore, Corinne had joined the International Relations department at ESSEC, working closely with the school’s partner universities and advising students regarding international academic mobility.
She graduated in political science, with a specialisation in public service and European projects management. She is currently a candidate in the ESSEC-Mannheim Executive MBA class of 2022.
